The Countdown Is On!

Well, here we go!

Opening day is getting closer, and things around here are starting to get a little crazy. The good kind of crazy, of course!

There are recipes to perfect, supplies to organize, a million little things to remember, and what feels like hundreds of loaves of bread waiting to be baked. Somewhere between the flour-covered countertops and the never-ending to-do lists, it's starting to feel real.

We're actually doing this!

There's something pretty special about walking into a kitchen early in the morning, getting that first batch of dough started, and knowing that before long, all those wonderful smells will be drifting out the door to welcome our customers.

We've been dreaming about the day we could fill our shelves with fresh bread, delicious baked goodies, and all the little treats that make people stop in for just one thing and somehow leave with a whole bag. (We fully support this behavior, by the way.)

Of course, getting ready to open a bakery isn't all warm cookies and pretty pastries. There are long days, early mornings, plenty of taste-testing, and the occasional moment when we wonder where on earth we put that one thing we JUST had in our hands.

But every little bit brings us closer to opening those doors.

And that's the part we're most excited about. Seeing familiar faces, meeting new neighbors, sharing our favorite recipes, and becoming one of your favorite places.
